About Kylie b

As a mother to two boys, one with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disability and another with Autism Spectrum Disorder, my journey has been filled with challenges and resilience. Despite facing personal struggles like depression since age 16 and post-natal depression after each child, I have been fortunate to receive immense support from loved ones and professionals during dark times.

My ambition was evident from a young age when I started working at 15 as a cashier, eventually becoming a store manager by 20. However, at 23, a mysterious illness affected the function of my arms. Despite this setback and discovering my pregnancy soon after, I persevered to regain strength in my arms before welcoming my first child.

Driven by the desire not to miss any moments with my children, I became a qualified nail technician and ran a successful home-based business for several years. In 2016, I ventured into candle-making with “Handmade with love by Kylie,” but had to close it down after six months due to family commitments.

In late 2017/early 2018, determined to reignite my passion for crafting, especially after the challenges of 2020, I reopened my candle business under a new name. Balancing managing therapies for my children’s behaviors along with work orders became overwhelming in the following year. Eventually, after meeting an incredibly supportive partner who encouraged me to pursue creativity again, I re-launched my nail business focusing on press-on nails and creating unique waterslide decals.
